Raees’ son was proud and loved a lavish lifestyle. Despite his father’s advice, he continued to be extravagant and forgot that wealth is a test from Allah. Raees always warned his son not to be arrogant about worldly possessions, as one day, all the wealth would stay in this world, and only a shroud would go with him when he passed away.

As time passed, Raees fell seriously ill. Despite various treatments, his health did not improve, and he eventually ended up on his deathbed. One day, Raees called his secretary and handed him a sealed letter, saying, “This letter is for my son. Give it to him only when my funeral is taking place. It contains my last wish.”

Raees’ son was addicted to the intoxication of wealth and fame, and he paid no attention to his father’s words. Raees passed away, and his son, as per his father’s request, opened the letter. In the letter, Raees had expressed his final wish that when he is laid to rest, he should be dressed in his old shoes.

This strange request puzzled everyone. The news spread, and people gathered at the  Heartfelt  graveyard to witness this unusual event. The city’s renowned scholars were consulted, and despite attempts to convince Raees’ son to follow the traditional burial practices, he insisted on fulfilling his father’s wish.

The son’s determination led to a conflict between the city’s scholars and the people. Each  Heartfelt  scholar opposed the act, stating that it goes against Islamic traditions, but Raees’ son remained unmoved. In desperation, the son sought the advice of the city’s leading religious scholars, offering them a handsome sum of money to officiate the funeral prayers.

However, none of the scholars agreed. The son’s actions raised eyebrows, and people couldn’t Heartfelt understand the reasoning behind such an unconventional wish. Eventually, the son approached the mosque’s imam, hoping he would agree.

When the imam heard about Raees’ last wish, he flatly refused, stating that it was against Heartfelt Shariah (Islamic law) and could not be allowed. The son, disappointed, sought the guidance of various religious authorities, but none supported his decision.

As the dispute continued, the son opened the letter that Raees had given to the secretary. In the letter, Raees had written, “My dear son, I was the wealthiest man in the city, but look, even in my death, I cannot take my old, worn-out shoes with me. Despite all the wealth Heartfelt I accumulated, I am leaving behind these tattered shoes. Learn from this – wealth and the world are temporary. Use what I leave behind for good, and do not be arrogant about it.”

Raees’ son, finally understanding his father’s message, decided to Heartfelt  bury him in accordance with the traditional Islamic practices. The incident left a lasting impact on the people of the city, teaching them the valuable lesson that wealth, no matter how abundant, remains in this world, and one should not be arrogant about it.
