Just at that moment, an owl was also passing through the area. It overheard the conversation between the two parrots and decided to intervene. With a friendly demeanor, the owl addressed them, “You seem to be travelers in this village. Tonight, why don’t you become my guests? Join me for a meal.”

The parrot duo was initially hesitant but ultimately agreed to the owl’s invitation. After a hearty meal, when they sought permission to depart, the owl held the hand of one of the parrots and said, “Where are you going? This is no time to leave. I am heading back with my spouse.”

The parrot, slightly perplexed, responded, “Why do you ask? I am returning with my husband.” Startled, the owl burst into laughter and exclaimed, “Is this even a question? I am returning with my spouse as well, my dear.”

At this, the parrot felt a rush of anger and frustration. She confronted the owl, “Where are you going with this, owl? Why ask such an obvious question? I am heading back with my husband, of course!” The owl chuckled and responded, “This is no ordinary inquiry. I am merely pointing out that you are my spouse.”

Infuriated by the owl’s audacious claim, the parrot launched herself at the owl, and a heated argument ensued. Their disagreement escalated, and as tensions grew, the owl suggested a solution. “Let’s settle this matter in court. We’ll present our cases before a judge, and his decision shall be binding.”

Agreeing to the owl’s suggestion, the parrot and owl appeared before the judge. Each presented their side of the story, and after careful consideration of the evidence, the judge ruled in favor of the owl. Content with the verdict, the owl left the courtroom.

However, the parrot was not so easily convinced. She continued to protest, insisting that the decision was unfair. The owl, hearing her lament, turned back and uttered, “Why are you so upset? You are, after all, my wife.”

Fueled by rage, the parrot lunged at the owl, and a heated confrontation ensued once again. The owl, maintaining composure, proposed a resolution. “Let’s seek justice from the highest authority. We shall present our case to the king, and his decision shall be the ultimate truth.”

Agreeing to the owl’s suggestion, the parrot and owl appeared before the king. Each recounted their versions of the story, and the king deliberated carefully. After weighing the evidence, the king delivered his verdict in favor of the owl.

In a fit of frustration, the parrot turned to the owl and cried, “Why do you insist on rubbing salt in my wounds? Why do you keep asserting that I am your wife? Where is my own spouse?” The owl, amused, responded, “Calm down, my friend. I never claimed you as my wife. I simply wanted to illustrate a point.”

Finally comprehending the owl’s intention, the parrot sighed, “You are right, owl. I see now that you were not asserting any claim over me. I apologize for my misunderstanding.”

The owl nodded in acceptance and concluded, “Remember, my dear parrot, it’s not external circumstances that lead to desolation. It’s the lack of justice. Whether it’s in domestic life or in society at large, without justice, everything falls into ruin.”

And so, the tale of the two parrots teaches us a valuable lesson about the significance of justice and how perceptions can lead to misunderstandings. In a world where fairness prevails, harmony thrives. Whether it’s in personal relationships or societal interactions, justice stands as the cornerstone that prevents desolation and preserves the integrity of human connections.
