A passionate collector of antique artifacts observed a person serving milk to a cat on the counter of his shop using a vintage cup. The antique cup was priced at no less than thirty thousand dollars. The collector suspected that the person might not be aware of the true value of the cup.
Employing her wits, the woman approached the person with a shrewd plan and asked, “Sir, would you be interested in selling this cat?” The person replied, “This is my pet cat, but if you like it so much, I can sell it to you for fifty dollars.”
Without hesitation, the woman handed over fifty dollars and bought the cat. However, as she was leaving, she cleverly remarked, “I believe this cup is no longer serving any purpose for you. Could you please give it to me as well? I plan to use it to serve milk to my newly acquired cat.”
The person reluctantly handed over the cup. The woman, on her way out, expressed her opinion, saying, “I think this cup is no longer useful to you. Please give it to me. I will use it to serve milk to my new cat.” The shopkeeper replied, “I cannot give you this cup because I have sold 300 cats using this cup so far.”
