The wife remarked, “I’ve seen your mother not eating; let’s invite her, and we can all eat together.” The husband insisted that his mother was asleep and they should eat alone. Despite the wife’s persistence, he stood firm, leading to a demand for divorce.

The husband was bewildered but tried to explain. However, the wife insisted on divorce. They went their separate ways, both marrying again and living content lives.

Years passed, and the woman, now a mother, decided to perform Hajj. During the journey, her son treated her like a queen, not allowing her feet to touch the ground. In the desert, they encountered a destitute man.

The woman, out of compassion, told her sons to lift the man, wash his hands and mouth, feed him, and give him water. The sons obeyed, just as their mother had taught them.

When the woman looked at the man, she recognized her first husband, now in a pitiable state. Overwhelmed, she asked him what had happened.

He explained that his children hadn’t treated him well, and he realized the consequences of not respecting parents. The woman, witnessing this, shared the lesson with her sons about the importance of treating parents kindly.

The story emphasizes the significance of treating parents with respect, as actions have repercussions that may manifest later in life. The hope is for everyone to learn from such tales and practice kindness and filial piety.
