He was waiting for his turn for half an hour in the drive-thru line of McDonald’s. When it was my turn, it took me some time to place the order. The lady in the back car started honking angrily, which meant I should hurry. I was very angry but I found a unique way to respond. After placing the order, I reached the next window for payment and said that I will also pay the bill of the woman in the previous car. The counter girl took the cash and handed over both receipts to me. When the lady came to pay, the counter girl told her that her payment was made by the person in the next car.

I was looking in my rearview mirror. The lady looked at me with grateful eyes and smiled. I also smiled and shook my hand. Embarrassment was clearly visible on the woman’s face. But my aim was not to embarrass them. At the next counter, where I had to receive the order, I gave both the receipts and also received the woman’s order and left. Now the woman had to stand in the queue again to order again and then she would go and receive her order. I said that my aim was not to embarrass him…..but to teach him a lesson.
