A woman approaches a man on the street and says; “Excuse me, sir, I’m doing a little survey, can I ask you a few questions?” Man: “Yes of course.” Woman: “Suppose you are sitting on a bus and a woman gets on the bus and she doesn’t have a seat available, would you give up your seat for her?” Man – “No.” The woman checked the “rude” box while glancing at the paper next to her, asking another question: “If the woman on the bus was pregnant, would you give up your seat?” Man: “No.”

Now tick off the “selfish” next question: “And if the lady who got on the bus was an elderly lady, would you give her your seat?” Man: “No.” Woman: (angrily) “You are a very selfish and insensitive man who has not been taught the manners of women, the great and the weak,” the woman went on. Another man standing nearby who was listening to this conversation, asked this servant this woman told you so many things, why didn’t you give any answer?

 

So the man replied: “This woman is going about determining people’s character by surveying people based on her small thinking and half information. If she had asked me the reason for not leaving the seat, I would have told her that I am a “bus.” A big tragedy of our society is that we try to judge others with incomplete information… !!!
